The Seasons has been lovingly designed to create connection and educate through a series of wholesome and playful workshops balanced with some time for rest, nourishment and relaxation.
Using ancient approaches to wellness through the holistic practices of Yoga, Qigong and storytelling medicine, join me this Autumn with the 8-12* year old girl in your life for a unique day retreat and a mothers circle.

There is one part funded space for a family who wouldn’t be otherwise able to join, please enquire for availability - no questions asked.

Moon Mother, Moon Daughter - The Seasons has been loving created by Amy to equip our daughters with the knowledge, skills and confidence to navigate their journey through adolescence and beyond combined with a beautiful opportunity for connection along with some rest and relaxation time for you too.

Thursday 14th September 2023
6.30pm till 9.30pm - Mothers Circle. An opportunity to gather ahead of the day to explore our own experiences using a compassionate enquiry. Mindful movement + meditation (suitable for all). Making preparations for the retreat day, discussing the day retreat syllabus, perhaps letter writing, speaking wishes/prayers and creating a gratitude ceremony for our girls.

10am - Opening Circle & Welcome
11am - The Seasons, a somatic experience and pair yoga.
12pm - Seasonal lunch.
Mothers: 1pm Free time
Crafting materials, journal prompts and a huge selection of books available.
Daughters: 1pm Positive Period Workshop
Body facts - internal and external body parts. Transformation signs for emerging butterflies. Menstrual Cycle. Being prepared - products, ecological & health impact. Exploring Cervical fluid (white flow) and menstrual blood (red flow)

Location: The Zen Den has just opened within Happy Planet, an eco-friendly play centre in Baildon, West Yorkshire. It lies 3 miles north of Bradford city centre and is 5 miles from Ilkley and 8 miles from Horsforth.
About your teacher: Amy is a multidisciplinary yoga teacher, Mother, space holder and menstrual educator. Specialising in teaching a range of embodiment practices to help support mental wellbeing, trauma therapy and working with families and girls as they transition into maidenhood. Offering Mindfulness, yoga and coming of age circles, women's circles, workshops and retreats in Yorkshire.
Nourishment: Seasonal plant based lunch. A selection of herbal tea and fresh juice provided.
